I would stay away from the older Conquest in 10X or >10X, (12X or 15X) in large aperture >40mm. Go with the new Conquest HD, used, is the best bet.

Perhaps you could trade it in for a 8X42 MHG, could help with the eye placement, and it is a small and light for a 8X42. The eye-cups however, on the MHGs, may not be for everyone.

Yes James it is down to personal preference, EDG here hands down at last for my eyes along with the Leica. I like a glass the size of a 8X42 not a 10X50, unless it is a UV 10X50.
