I was told that as a pointer the thekla lark crest raises more from the front of the head whilst crested lark crest sticks up seemingly more from the middle of the head...

Norway includes a good chunk of coast so even more impressive...

I’m sure ‘town dwellers’ do poach. I doubt that they use poison though. There might be some with a grudge against raptors (pigeon racers for one) but they would hardly be responsible for wide scale...
