Contractors will be digging channels at the FLASHES tomorrow from approx 9am. The work will be over two days from Monday to Tuesday.

Birding today

I spent 12 & half hours on the reserve today.
Migration was only evident early morning with small numbers of mipit, skylark and song thrush.
The water is certainly going to take some time to get back...

Not sure we would be able to remove banks of Hen brook next to 1st Flash...The banks were created to stop any polluting substances from the sewage works getting into the saltmarsh Geoff.

last day of work at Amy's Marsh

After two weeks work at Amy's Marsh we are now on the last leg.

The original Amy's Marsh was created in 1993 and after 25 years it was overdue some TLC.
