    General spotting scope questions

    The ED82 is an alpha scope. With the zoom you should be able to get a sharp, contrasty image at 75x with the zoom - provided the atmospheric conditions are OK. Heat haze and so on are a killer with any scope. Check the scope at short to medium distances early in the morning or an hour or so...
