    Goodness me. I didn't know there were so many species either! Yes looks like a mayfly alright. Never seen one this tiny though. Looking at that link they go down to 5mm in length!

    I came across this flower in Athlone Ireland on the edge of Lough Ree. It looks like some kind of orchid to me but cant find a definite identification. Help needed please. At first I thought marsh orchid but I'm not sure.

    Canon Powershot SX70 HS review

    So it looks like the SX50 can't or isn't going to be improved on. I will hang on to mine until it actually bites the dust. Even then I would look for a second hand one. Great little camera. I have the Nikon P1000 but comes nowhere near the SX50 for image quality. I now use the P1000 for video only.

    What to use when your 8x binoculars aren't powerful enough?

    Well I tend to use 8x50s for use in the field or 10x50s for places like sea watching. Very useful is something like a 50x bridge camera for identification. Some of the images are not too great at full zoom but great for record shots and identification as you can zoom in to the image after you...
