    Thanks, that makes sense, we have wood ducks here, I guess I never noticed the eclipse plumage. I thought maybe a juvenile of something but they didn't look that young. 🤷‍♂️

    This Hawk has been stopping by every morning, Looks a bit different from the regular Red-Tailed and Red-Shouldered Hawks I see here... Didn't think it was too Juvenile to show adult plumage...any thoughts here? On a side note...computer crashed and had to upgrade, new version of windows...

    Yes plenty... The bird here in question visually was a match...so how does everyone know? The coloring is all washed out in the pic (it had plenty side/belly spots) and any "red" on the bird was higher on the shoulders and head (not the tail) Don't know Hermits, but from pics they show those...
