A complete novice's choice
Firstly, why should a binocular last a lifetime. It is an instrument to bring things nearer. Logic varies from person to person. As I have said many times, most astronomers have £100 or at the most £200 binoculars. They don't need it to be waterproof, but it maybe I mention Rolls Royce...- Binastro
