    Pluver on Southend Pier

Thanks for correcting my stupid mistake in naming this bird, guys, I have edited my Post. Can't help feeling like someone laying knocked out cold on an operating table with the surgeons standing over me discussing my ailments with each other though.

    Pluver on Southend Pier

Turnstone on Southend Pier Here's a shot that I took the other evening on Southend Pier, just four and a half hours before it was destroyed by fire! It's a damn shame. You'll find the picture in my "birds" folder. If you get a chance, take a look at my other folders especially the sunset...

Six stages of an "anvil" sunset.

Sure, sorry about that, Katy. I've got plenty more "sequenced" skies to put up to show you all but will, in future, put them in the landscapes gallery after sticking a post on the notice board. Keep your eye's on the notice board, guys, cos they're really worth a look and I do really...

Six stages of an "anvil" sunset.

Hey. Following the terrific comments and interest I got from you on my "Supercell at sunset" shot I thought I'd put this set of shots that I took the other evening up for you to awe at. There was a storm brewing, as you can see by the anvil shape in the clouds, and the setting sun shone out...

Well shot, Muskrat, a lovely image. The grey background brings out the fantastic colours of his body beautifully. Reds usually "bleed out" in a photo, but not in your picture. Sharp as a razor!

Have you ever seen a sky like this...?!

I realise this is primarily a bird forum but I just had to share this awesome image with all of you that I pulled over and captured while I was looking skyward for swarming starlings the other week. It looks like a supercell, doesn't it? Tornado alley, you think....but no, Canvey Island in...
