Hi Tom The big difference between 8x and 7x that I noticed when I finally got round to acquiring a 7x42 (a MeoStar actually) was that through the 7x objects in the foreground had a more realistic separation from objects in the background. Through 8x binos these objects appear unnaturally closer...
