    In spring and summer the longer routes across the Minch are good for auks, shearwaters, petrels and multiple cetacean species. They provide a good start and finish to a birding trip to the Western Isles.

    I've had dolphins from that ferry as well. The ferries from mainland Scotland out to the Hebrides are great for birding and cetaceans.
