    After listening to a brief discussion on a Lumix video, it appears the new on/off switch limits the zoom range to the range where the teleconverters will work. If it is not enabled, then there might be a disconcerting clunking sound when zooming too far out with the teleconverter; won't damage...

    Possible; but the old one would be out of view at the angle in the photo, so might still be there. And the old one said "Power OIS"--not just on/off.

    Thanks. That is new; but doesn't look like a limiter switch. The limiter switch is still at the bottom right corner.

    What they write still makes no sense. The limiter switch is not new--despite the claim of it being a new feature; the photo shows the one already on the previous 100-400mm. No explanation of where the increased macro capabilities come from--is it magic?

    Below is a link to the description of the new lens at B&H photo. Claims it has enhanced macro capabilities, but I'm not sure how it does that because the minimum focusing distance looks like it's about the same. But if the claims about macro capabilities are accurate, I might be tempted...
