Hi all - I just wondered if there were any 2023 updates to this query, as I am heading this way in a week or so. Thanks for any up to date info on those species (and anything else locally). Thanks everyone.

    Escapee in Warwickshire?

Hi all - my in-laws photographed this in their garden in Warwickshire today. I wonder if it's a Reeves Pheasant but doesn't look right. Presumably a fence-hopper of some sort. Can anyone be more specific? Rich.

    July Moths GB&I

Hi everyone, I had a few good new moths over the weekend in SW London, including a Gypsy Moth (dark form). I did a bit of research and started thinking I'd found something unusual, then read online that a population now exists in London and it's trapped regularly. Does anyone know anymore about...

    July Moths GB&I

I found a very small micro in my house this morning, which I think is either monopis crocicapitella or m. obviella. I got a dodgy photo, but unfortunately it flew off before I could do better. Martin, have you had either over at the LWC (or both)? Rich.

Not too big, I don't think. It's a file name duplication problem I think when posting from an iPhone. Thanks (again!) for the ID.

Thanks Martin. I read about the hairy eyes but don't have a magnifying glass with me, and wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for. Great looking moth in any case.
