Autumnwatch is back for three seasonal specials on The One Show

Just watched the other 2 segments on iplayer. The cheek of it to call it Autumnwatch as if it was a thing & not just a filler piece. Bit embarrassing really.

Anyone else like Birds AND planes?

Reminds me of when we used to see the Red Arrows at RAF Kemble back in the 70s. They had Argosys there too. My Great-Aunt lived nearby at Crudwell.

What were your first pair of binoculars & for the bonus round what was your first field guide?

In 1997 I bought these, Bushnell Birdlife 8x42 & Mitchell Beazley pocket guide. I'm a late-comer compared to you lot.

Seeing as I joined Birdforum in 2016...

Hi everyone. Can anyone identify this bird?

Odd how there are endless threads on Gaza, Ukraine, Trump , immigration, trans issues , Left & Right politics but a member can't ask about a bird because it's not wild.

    Bees in nesting box!

Let them nest , it'll be just as interesting to watch them nest as much as blye tits. They'll probably be tree bumblebees. https://www.bumblebeeconservation.org/tree-bumblebee-bombus-hypnorum/
