    Partial Albino Robin

    This is a rare partial albino morph robin that appeared for a few consecutive years in my sister's yard and neighborhood. She has since disappeared, so we fear she is no longer living. Close up, you can see she has mottling even on her feet.

    It took me a long time to figure out that these birds are the female of the redwinged blackbird species! And the ones I've seen move very quickly, so my hat's off to you, Viki for finding this girl in the mood for a photograph.

    Cedar Waxwing over water

    One year I was fortunate enough to capture many photographs of Cedar Waxwings in a wetlands area. They were after the insects, which I was surprised to discover, since I had previously thought Cedar Waxwings were fruit eaters.
