    Certainly seems like you've had a good year in terms of numbers. I remember some times when you would post about days of light/unfavorable winds and zero birds. I'm always fascinated to read of your encounters with these seagoing migrants!

    Sorry to hear that you're in the doldrums, but it will get better soon.:t: I'm in a bit of a holding pattern here, too, stuck between spring migration and July herons/shorebirds. My consolation prize is watching Tree Swallows fledge from my box.

    Great job with the merganser! Always a surprise to be found in the North Sea it seems, at least by the sharp observer. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your updates and check nearly every day for them.
