    Opticron Traveller ED

Well it appears to me that Opticron have a finger in each pie-with the Natura 8 x 32 being from Mojave/Countryman lineage...

    Opticron Traveller ED

Sorry if posted already, but couldn't see? Popped up on my YouTube feed today: https://youtu.be/zO1U1714tFM Looks to break the form of the travellers, which might mean larger sadly? looks more like current crop of 8/ 10 x 32s?

    ZRS HD 8x32

To update all on this, I returned the 'dodgy' pair to Lanius optics and after discussing with them agreed to receive a replacement pair that had been checked over by staff. These arrived this week, and thankfully are considerably better-much sharper, less CA and a lot more depth of field too...

    ZRS HD 8x32

Thanks folks. I do believe there may be a fault or some issue, as they really seem below par. I've had over a fortnight but had no chance to check until the last week. I'll therefore contact Lanius books to send back under warranty as the loose focus wheel part makes me suspicious that something...

    ZRS HD 8x32

Hi, after looking into a compact 8 X 32's for a bit I decided I had to temper my budget a little, and ordered a pair of ZRS 8 X 32's from Lanius books, the only European agent As far as I know. I know, buying unseen, amateur hour :/ I was coming from a pair of large, bulky and slow focussing...

Flash for Nikon with LED modelling light?

Thanks Bob, I stumbled upon this (and the Neewer equivalent) almost as you replied! But I can't find any clear reviews that indicate you can leave the lamp on and take flashed shots-I may just have to order and check out myself? Russ

Flash for Nikon with LED modelling light?

Hello all, I'm on the search for a i TTL compatible flash for my Nikon D7000, and want a built in LED lamp to assist in photographing inverts and herps at night-so far however all I'm finding is lamps that only work in video mode :/ Am I missing any models? Thanks!

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Frank, your summary review was actually the basis for my shortlist, many thanks! And I'll pass on comments to my friend, though I suspect they'll veto porros on size. I was hoping to have compared the M7 and TED by now but time hasn't allowed. I'm also trying to to let my eye wander to higher...

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Phil thanks, good to hear the Trailseeker does well next to the M7. It's strangely reassuring to see a cost/performance ratio that's mostly correct! Brock good to hear your opinions, looks like the M7 and TED may set the benchmark for my options. I had read about the former's early baffle/glare...

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Hi Phil and all, thanks for more input-all helps. I did like the look of the Mojave range, but stockists seem a little thin on the ground in the UK? Even the country sports stores, but haven't looked exhaustively though. So far it seems that the extra cost of the M7/Terra/Mojave do give a real...

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Bob thanks, I've seen the legendary reviews of the sightron/Vixen/Kenko and would like to see in the flesh-the main reason I struck from the shortlist was its a bit longer than the others I believe?

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Hmm, guess I should add the terra ED to the comparison list then! And the Kowa SV too, by the sound of it Clive? Thanks David, Campkins had the Hawke in stock but we're out of the Nikon when I went in. I will however visit them again and Greenwich, forget they exist. Bird fair could be useful...

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Thanks Torview, not one I remember handling so should look at. Agreed Uttings are good to deal with. CNick6 I did forget about the new Terra ED 8 x 32-not sure how fairs against the above competition?

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Thanks for the warm welcome all. Torview that's a good deal on the imagic, never seen that cheap before-has it been discontinued? would it outperform the others? David much appreciated, that's the sort of experience I was after-I would stretch to £240 if the monarch 7 edges it. So the other...

    Budget compact 8 x 32 choices

Dear all, I'm a mature Zoology student living and working in Cambridge in England, and as a lurking member on here I've learned a lot from the reviews and community over the past few years. I've been been doing more fieldwork of late and will be travelling a bit soon too. Whilst my current...
