    UK Moth

Could someone ID this for me please? In my Collins British Insects guide it looks similar to a White Marked Moth to me but I've got this wrong as it's listed as March-April and this was seen yesterday evening.

    The Hoverfly Thread

Thanks for the replies especially the explanation from Welsh Peregrine - I have lots to learn I've attached 4 more which I need help with. I think 001 may be Eristalis Intricaria and 002 could be Sphaerophorea and the other two I can't work out. Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

    Egret in Norfolk, UK

Thanks for all the replies. I've just spoken to one of the staff at Titchwell and he has confirmed that it is a GWE. It's still there but they don't think it has bred and it's bill is gradually changing from black to it's normal colour.

    Egret in Norfolk, UK

This was taken at Titchwell Marsh, North Norfolk last week. At the time I assumed it was a juvenile Little Egret - no plumes and only took one shot but looking at it on my PC it has pink legs. Is it something different or just a Little Egret with odd coloured legs?

These not very good photos were taken on 30th Sept 2020 My guess is a Marsh Harrier as they breed here but it's only a guess
