    8x32 EL with fast focus?

Using them for hunting I really need every ounce of light I can get from binos. I bought a pair of 8x32ELs amid a chorus of 'they won't be bright enough' from friends. The 8x32ELs give up no more than 5 minutes at the end of the day to my Zeiss 7x42BGATs (remember I am talking near pitch black...

    Swarobright V.S. Non-swarobright optics

I think you hit the nail on the head. In the UK I would estimate less than 5% of stalkers/hunters use Leica. Zeiss BGATs, SLCs and ELs would be 95% of the quality market. This may change with the UVs. Hunting use is harder - crawling, more frequent field cleaning with attendant risks of...

Old T*P compared to new FL

Whilst never immersed my 7x42BGATs have been used in torrential rain (Kielder so pretty near immersion) for up to 4 days at a time while hunting. They have never leaked or fogged.

    First impression - Ultravid 7x42

I hunt with my 7x42BGATs and find them superlative in the woods. On the odd occasion when I use my 8x32ELs (which I use in the fields) in woodland I get visualy tired much quicker due to the reduced DOF. My beef with the Ultravids is the closed hinge which makes for much more difficult one...

    Zeiss, Leica, Swarovski...8X comparison

Zeiss generaly have larger FOV than comparable Leica and Swaro. As an example the old and new Zeiss 7x42s have 150m whereas the 7x42 ultravid is 140m, the new FL 8x42 is 135m whereas the 8x42 UV and 8.5x42 EL are 130m When I was talking to the repair manager of Zeiss UK about how this was...

    EXCLUSIVE 8x32 & 10x32 Zeiss FL binos

I bought a pair of 8x32ELs to back up my 7x42BGATs. All people who do similar need to be warned that getting an x32 bino is going to make your x42 that used to be completely unoticable around your neck, seem like a huge awkward lead weight. Tested back to back at the absolute limit of shooting...

Info on older 8x30 Habicht SLCs

I have used a pair of 7x42BGATs for deer stalking for 7years. In that time they have been in torrential rain for periods of up to 4 days from dawn till dusk. Take it from me they are waterproof and do not fog! This experience is mirrored by 2 friends who have used them for 10 years each.

    Leitz 7x42ba v Zeiss 7x42bgat - Opinions?

I have a pair of the BGATS and they are excellent indeed. Be quick they are discontinued as of 2 weeks ago!

    7x42BGAT vs 7x42 Ultravid

Having tested the ultravid and bigger EL swaro I have come to just that decision! Thanks

    7x42BGAT vs 7x42 Ultravid

A fleeting visit as I don't watch birds other than as a secondary activity to my deer stalking. I have a pair of 7x42BGATs that are 8 years old. They have been superb but a recent purchase of some 8x32ELs has me wondering if the new generation of optics might offer me a bit more performance? My...

    Swarovski EL Bins 8 x 32/ 10x32

Hi, New to the forum and didn't see that you had allready bought a pair. They are fantastic are they not! Mine are so good that I have sent my 7x42BGATPs for service and am actively researching upgrading. Now if only Swarovski made a 7x42EL....
