This bird I do not see very often here alongside the Western Scheldt seadike, a nice opportunity to show it now on the BF.
In the exif I also see the distance to the subject, I did not notice this before, so in the next postings I will state this information too.
First I thought the greater bird is the Curlew, but later I realised that there ´s a difference. I looked it up and then I was convinced this could only be the Whimbrel! BTW in Dutch the Curlew is named the ´Wulp´ and the Whimbrel the ´Regenwulp´, translated in English the ´Raincurlew´.
