New York City Summer Identification Qs
I have two shots, both of which are from Staten Island, NY in late August 2019. Does anyone have any ideas?
For the first one, unfortunately it's a poor angle, but maybe those undertail coverts might be distinct?
And I'm thinking the second is...
I am doing some field research and I came across this bird on my field camera. The photo was taken on Staten Island, NY, on September 12. I am guessing it's a female Scarlet Tanager, but I'd like to have some second opinions.
Thanks and happy New Year!
Hey guys, this wasn't my own shot, but it was on a friend's snapchat 8-P
This bird was spotted just today, about 5-6 PM in Manhattan, apparently on a sidewalk. The bird flew off right after this picture was taken. Could it be a lost vagrant? A captive that was released? Any ideas?
Hi everyone! A few days ago in early July (very hot, most of the birds migrated up North), when I was on vacation in Miami, I saw a specific species of bird that I just can't figure out. Could somebody ID it for me? Sorry if the pictures aren't too great.
Thank you so much!
