    Id heard about the behaviour of protecting territories, but never expected it to be at the level of killing ducklings. I watched the swan try to drown this one, totally unphased by me being feet away. Then tried to get the others.

    Flash photography with birds

    I can totally understand that this is probably a sensitive subject, i have seen images using slow sync etc. on birds, and wondered what the consensus is on it. nocturnal birds should be a total no for flash in my view.

    It was a surprise and yes I was thrilled, just wish I could have got a better angle but i just didn’t want to spoil the moment or disturb the bird.
