    Which tripod for large scope?

Moderators please do something as The BulbMogul doesn't even read what the OP is asking and what is the budget, he just posts pictures of his expensive gear (many times without any text, or at best, see above...) in every thread and if you ask him the properties of these equipment or how they...

    Nikon Z 600MM F/4 S T/C Lens ..!

I'm sorry but the subject in focus in this photograph is the 400f/2.8 version and as you should be aware this thread has the title: Nikon Z 600MM F/4 S T/C Regards, Juhani

Awesome picture! They say that pygmy owl has another face in the back of it's head but so does the crested tit apparently (and the crested has a lot more scary one!)...

    Kowa 99 Update?

I believe you 100% if you have found your Kowa99A sample consistently outresolve your Atx95 sample. But then again, you can't know how good sample your Atx95 really is if you haven't star tested it and/or measured its resolution in an accurate way. Take another (better) sample of Atx95 and maybe...

Effect of Higher Overall Transmission During Daylight Use

I remember vividly when i got my 10x56 SLC and looked through it for the first time. I also got my former binocular, the Nikon EDG 10x42 with me, so I was able to compare them closely. I was standing next to a grass field where first crop was harvested and rolled to bales covered with white...

    Monarch 82ED, a Perfect Ten

I had a chance to look through Nikon Monarch 82ED A scope equipped with a 30-60x zoom eyepiece. I had my Kowa 883 next to it so I was able to compare them directly. The first impression in daylight was very sharp, contrasty and bright image; subjectively at least as sharp as Kowa but perhaps...

    Astro Adapter for 883

Agreed; if you use several different eyepieces and switch them often (and are sure that they can reach focus to infinity) the knurled screw adapter is more convenient. APM 12.5mm can't reach focus to infinity with the knurled screw adapter, if I recall Morpheus 12.5mm did but by just, with APM...

    Astro Adapter for 883

Use the Kowa AS1.25G 1.25" grub screw one. The one with the knurled screws doesn't allow infinity focus with some eyepieces. I have used Morpheus 12.5mm, APM HI-FW 12.5mm and APM XWA 3.5mm with my 883 and they all reach focus to infinity with the grub screw adapter and won't vignet. Regards...

    First image of NL x52's!

Eye relief is listed as only 17mm...10x42 NL Pure has 18mm and as the eyecup (for once!) goes as down as possible and it didn't give me enough for total comfort, it seems likely that these x52 models will be even slightly worse for someone like me (who needs about 19-20mm real eye...
