    Eyepiece 1.25" Wide angle?

Hi Joachim, There are 100º AFOV eps on 1.25" format but I also adapted some 2" eps that can be transformed on 1.25" - see the ES92 on the link of the last post. The ES100_9 has more reduced eye-relief than the Ethos and some other clones, so probably is more difficult to see all field. I can...

    Eyepiece 1.25" Wide angle?

Can you elaborate it? The 110º Ethos and clones are more difficult to see all AFOV since the eye-relief is the same - shorter in some clones. I love my Ethos 17 with my astro-combo test of >80º "zooms" since the Nikon FSA-L2 induce an increase of eye-relief and I can see almost all FOV with...

    Eyepiece 1.25" Wide angle?

It depends on the observer and the eyepiece... Since I use eye-glasses, nowadays I prefer the ES92 eps, but give me a >100º eps with good eye-relief and I will prefer it...;)

    Eyepiece 1.25" Wide angle?

Don't test a 100º AFOV ep if you don't want to buy one... ;) I tested an Ethos and had to get an Ethos 17... Than, other 92º, 102º and 110º "came" to me...

    Eyepiece 1.25" Wide angle?

Yes, but Ethos are on other league!!! Besides having much wider AFOVs, Ethos are also much more comfortable to use. The 5mm 1.25" Ethos clones need less infocus than TV so reach focus on more spotting scopes... (y) If money is no problem and 1.25" Ethos reach focus, I would go for the Ethos -...

    Eyepiece 1.25" Wide angle?

Vignetting depends on the FOV and not the AFOV: - spotting scopes that accept and reach focus astro 1.25" eps can use 110º eps! The FOV limitation depend of brands and, eventually, models. From what I read, there are some Chinese made spotting scopes that have reduced aperture prisms that will...
