We finally arrived on location this morning after 4 flights, a weeks quarantine and 5 Covid tests just to make damn sure no-one brought it on board the vessel, Polar Onyx.

Hello again Folks, well here we are, day 9 of a 14 day quarantine prior to joining the 'Maersk Involver' for a 4 week trip.
We are going to be around 150Km from the coast in water 15-1800m deep.

Just seen a single Starling circling the vessel, there's also 4 other vessels here along with an FPSO and a drilling rig, were all lit up like Christmas...

Been here 2 days now, with not much to report, Fulmars and the occasional Puffin.
Around 1 in 10 of the Fulmars are the Blue ones.
Morning folks, thats me back working again, been here 4 days, and all I've seen is two juv YL Gulls, water depth is 1640m. No fish seen either. Looks like this could be a poor trip. Weather steady on 10kts from the West, fingers crossed for some Easterlies.
Back at sea, on PMS Mayo, been thru a couple of gales, list as of this am, White, Grey and Pied Wagtail, C Buzzard, Perigrine, Kestrel, Snipe, Skylark, Robin, Hoopoe, Black Redstart, Whitethroat, and Black-headed Bunting
Been here for just over 3 weeks;
Next time I'll bring my bird book ! for the SBJs
Had all the usual suspects, Fulmar, Gannet, Great Skua, LBBG, Kittiwake and a Shearwater (sp).
The two surprises are a very sorry looking Chiffchaff and at lunchtime today a Raven. An offshore tick for me.

Saw a few terns(sp) when we sailed from Pointe Noire a week ago, in the hotel I managed to ID a Bronze Mannikin and a Northern Grey-headed Sparrow.
