Wide flat field and edge sharpness an illusion?
There have been many discussions on this. I have considered asking whether a binocular with the highest edge-sharpness is necessarily the best (for hand-held use)? There is a distinction between resolution and sharpness. Perhaps a high contrast is more important than resolution towards the edge...- Eric_D
