    Belted kingfisher is definitely right! Thank you so much. I'm thinking that we did just see a red-tailed hawk and blue heron, as well, but the direct sunlight threw us off :) We're both new to birding and its crazy how different seeing a bird in person can be from seeing it in pictures.     I've been having trouble identifying the type of swift I spotted at a park yesterday (June 16). There were about six of them in a bird house next to the parking lot. They were brown/grey and white, which made me think they were chimney swifts, but their bellies were white and their entire heads...
