    Excited to purchase Monarch 82ED

I was able to get the 30x DS eyepiece adapted to fit the monarch. Quite pleased with it, as it's pleasant to look through this versus the narrower view of the 20-60 zoom. I do think I'll go ahead and try to sell the zoom.

Manfrotto or slik for Monarch 82ED ?

Hey guys, I'm looking at 2 tripods for my Monarch, the Slik Pro 700DX and the Manfrotto 055CL, both used, but like new. The head I'll likely get is the Manfrotto MVH400. Would you have any suggestions on either, is there one i should avoid for that scope? How about the RC128 head vs the...

    Excited to purchase Monarch 82ED

The scope was mail ordered, so is on its way still. Well, I didn't pay too much for the eyepiece, $75 CDN. It states that it is for Field Scope III /Scope ED. I had assumed that the Monarch was a fieldscope and thus would fit. Wonder what I'd have to do to get it to fit as this eyepiece...

    Excited to purchase Monarch 82ED

Well guys, I'm new to spotting scopes, but after reading a number of threads on this forum I have decided on the Nikon Monarch 82ED A. Got a good deal on a new unit. This will be used for wildlife viewing, astronomy, and digiscoping. Also got an additional eyepiece, the 24x / 30xW DS. So I...

    Meopro HD

If its on par to a Conquest HD, then it must be an outstanding optic. Almost too good to be true at $500, it being from a known optics manufacturer rather than no name brand, president choice stuff like Vortex, Zenray, etc.

    Meopro HD

I'm considering picking up a Meopro 8x42 HD, so would be interested to know where you guys place that Meopro HD in terms of optical quality. Not much info to be found online. Equal to, a step above or below the Minox HG, Conquest, etc.

WIN Opticron Countryman HD Binoculars worth $500 (US / Canada Only)

    1. Low light performance 2. Sharpness of image 3. Smoothness of focus wheel Cameraland is my preferred optics dealer. I buy from them, because they have great deals, and are always available to talk optics on the phone and make suggestions.

    Sightron "Blue Sky" II 8x32

Ok. I'm more concerned with low light performance, dusk and dawn situations. I guess it's overall % of light transmission I'm after. Allbinos.com shows 90% light transmission for the Vixon 8x32, so if the Sightron bins have similar glass.

    Sightron "Blue Sky" II 8x32

Am considering buying a 8x42 model, but the "apparent brightness" comment has me worried a bit. Do I understand correctly? Would you consider the Monarch better in low light?

Comprehensive 10x42 test in German magazine

I'm trying to decide on a good quality low light binocular, so keeping this thread alive is of interest to me. A question I would have: Those binoculars that have a smaller than spec exit pupil, does that penalize their light transmission figure? (Would the transmission % be higher if the...

Can you find manufacture date of Legend ??

Does anyone happen to know if there's a way to figure out the manufacture date on a Bushnell Legend? Is the serial # of any use there? I've got a Legend 8x42 and would like to know aprox when it was made.
