    You might want to post about this at the xeno-canto forum as well. The person that started the thread I linked to mentions that he went with the NTG3. Now that I re-read it, it looks like he had the same problem with the NTG3. Have you tried contacting Rode?

    I cannot recall hearing about trouble with that Rode mic before, but be aware that the NTG5 has caused headaches for some of us trying to use it with the Zoom F3.
