    Can a 30-year-old porro compete with a new alpha? Really!

    One of my favourite and often used binos is my 1957 CZJ Silvarem, which only has single layer coatings and is probably not even weatherproof these days, never mind waterproof. But at 6x30 it has a wonderfully large field of view, good 3-d and a pretty bright image. Even its 1984 Deltrintem...
