Hey Owen, Yeah, Bedford county is not "near" by my standards. In fact, I've only been through there on the way to West Virginia, and those times were over 30 years ago. I've never even been to parts of Western PA. And even I'd recommend Quivira if you have the choice. When I was supporting...

Where in PA will you be, Owen? If you're anywhere near Allentown and have specific targets look me up.

    Love the Parrotbill shots, Owen!

I get a white wagtail vibe from the blob shots, and the yellowish face says immature.

Sure looks like a Wood Sand, Owen. It appears he's lost a few feathers.

They do remind me of a prairie dog! I've seen marmots up in Sichuan, but never a ground squirrel. Neat sighting.

I find it hard to believe that Brown-eared Bulbuls ever attempt to hide. o:)

I looked it up. Cameron County, with less than 5,000 people in the last census. Bedford has almost 50,000 people, and isn't in the bottom 20.

Interesting. I would have thought that was Elk County.

Not sure, Owen. No seniors in my immediate family. So I'm being parochial and only paying attention to how the rules impact me. ;) Most places that are going on "full lockdown" are still allowing people to go out for recreation/sanity breaks as long as they maintain separation distances and...

Thanks for the details, Owen. FYI, here in PA here's no restriction on movement (yet), but many stores - including the state-owned liquor stores - are closed. Restaurants are only allowed to provide take-out and delivery. No eat-in meals. Grocery stores and gas stations are open. In...

OOC, Owen, are there any official restrictions on where you can and can't go, or is this just 'familial pressure?"

Not sure there are any small birds on Antarctica, either, other than storm petrels.

Yeah, I suspected you'd know them, as common as they are there. Not sure what else it could be other than other tits or wagtails, or maybe a parrotbill, none of which would be uncommon or unfamiliar.

Gnatcatcher would be an amazing record for Asia, Owen. There aren't even any eBirds records for Alaska. Maybe a long-tailed tit?

The dog is so small, maybe the hoopoe thinks it's another hoopoe! 8-P

I was thinking it looked like a prairie dog, too, Owen.

That's more like Shanghai, Owen, but still you have our sympathies.

Probably too close to the station. They wanted a bigger fare. Rule #1 of taxis in China. Get in the taxi, then tell them where you're going. Especially at train stations and airports.

Those are the latest model in Chinese manned drones.
