    Lots and lots of male and female chaffinches still feeding on the ground below my feeders, + Green finches, Goldfinches ect. I have had two male blackcaps all winter and today I got a female - well chuffed

    Birding In Nerja

    Just arrived in Nerja for a couple of weeks. So far Black Redstarts and Parakeet. Talked the wife into a little trip to Motril on Saturday to the Wetlands, will take the camera as well :)

    I am in the same boat as you. I have the SX50 not the 70. The thing is with the two set ups you mention, we will lose the fantastic reach of our Bridge cameras for ID purposes.

    Very busy at the bird feeder today!

    Put a fat ball feeder up just before Christma. So far a jackdaw, Magpie, GS woodpecker and this little beauty turned up today for a feed from it.

    Gitzo G1325 mk1 centre column wanted

    I will give it another go with the scope then. (y) I Just found it a bit of a pain having to adjust all the legs on different levels the last time I used it. I will persevere then :)

    I have the Gitzo base plate in mine for when I was into photography with my Canon 500 f4 lens. Want it now for my scope, I sold the lens. Just makes it easier to adjust up and down when the scope is attached with a centre column I reckon.

    Trip today to see the Slav Grebe. Nice walk round had some nice close views of a Merlin, two whooper swans still knocking about, but take some finding amongst the mute swans

    I have the above tripod and am looking for a centre column for it. Can any one tell me if this is a 3 series tripod? There is a centre column on ebay that looks like it may fit. Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks
