The 7x story continues... I have been using the Hawkes as my primary birding binocular. They are great in good light but they lack the oomph of my previous Zen-Rays. Clarity and crispness wise the Hawke matches the Zen-Ray, I still have one tube of the Zen-Rays in working order for direct comparison. But the extra 4mm objective on the Zen-Rays is certainly noticeable in twilight and in ease of eye placement. If I could have found a 7x36 or 42 with...- Mono

As folk who frequent the Zen-Ray forum might know my ED2 7×36 are no more. So I'm looking to get some replacements. I do like a 7x, I like the extra FOV and brightness.
