Sigma rear drop-in filter
Hi Andrew, I have a Sigma 300 f2.8 which uses a drop in filter and comes with both a clear UV filter and a polarizing filter- to extract it you simply squeeze the two tabs on the filter holder together (like using a clothes peg) and pull the filter holder out, then screw the second filter into...- geedub

Best tripod, head for Nikon 600mm f/4
Hi Thrush, Might be worth a look at this set up for heavy lenses - the Manfrotto 475B tripod (max load 12kg!) and the Manfrotto 393 head. Tripod & Head help.
Sean, might be worth a look at the set up I use for heavy lenses - the Manfrotto 475B tripod (max load 12kg!) and the Manfrotto 393 head - if it's good enough for Romy Ocon it's good enough for me - both together come in at a very reasonable £285 + p&p from WarehouseExpress, and when fully...- geedub

Sigma 80-400 APO OS problem
Thanks Overread like you I use Canon bodies and I've tried the lens with all 3 that I use (300D, 20D & 40D) and the OS won't work on any of them so it looks like a lens fault rather than a firmware problem - oh well, looks like a repair job then. Curses!- geedub
