    Mike, 20% of 277 is aproximately 54 balearic shearwater, and we saw more or less 40 yesterday, I dont see this difference, we saw most of shearwaters coming south along the east coast, and the numbers between yesterday and today are kind similars.

    It is the restricted area, not possible to go in, but I think there are also several pairs in the Galileu area, and it is a public path, near Escorca.

    Rock Trhush Today on the top peak area of the Puig Major I have seen 4 Common Rock Thrush, singing and kind of territorial, so I guess at least 4 pairs breading there, a very good new. Also at least 15-18 pairs of wheatears, singing all around.

    Yes I agree with you, in Majorca there are not the shrew species than Steve says, I think it is a Garden Dormouse, common in Majorca.

    The big problem for english people is: Sylvia Cantillans= Subalpine warbler Sylvia Subalpina= Moltonis warbler (I guess this is one of the causes of most of confusions)

    Just one remark about the big confusion with the cantillans group and the recent split. Sylvia Subalpina and moltonis are the same one. The other one is Cantillans with 4 sub-species, 2 in west and south and 2 at east.

    Rock Sparrows Today at the area of the Cap Blanc, 1 km left side of the lighthouse i have found a group of 12-15 (probably more) rock sparrows just on the cliff, in Majorca they are always hard to see, so today I has been lucky.

    The 2 birds came just 7 m from us!!! And they both were in an spectacular summer plumage. Great observation, it seems it is the second for Majorca.

    Hi, yes the savis is at Cami den Pep, that is the opposite side of Sa Roca, from Amarador to Ses Puntes. Normally they are reeling only at sunset and sunshine, almost night.

    The Baillons Crake was seen by Seppo Neuvonen on Monday, since then we have been trying to confirm it, because there was also a Spotted crake on the same spot. Finally today Maties re-founded it at the same place, very close to the hide at Sa Roca.

    The fence of depuradora is algo a good place at night, all this area of Son Bosc-Depuradora is very good.

    I think in the north the best place to hear and seen scops owl is at Son Bosc, the little road from the Depuradora (it is also a very good place) to the main road, where the Bus store building. At sunset the poles on one of the sides of this small road are very good to see (not only listen) the owls
