    Migration strongly underway. Red Rumped Swallows Western Subalpine Warblers Caspian and Sandwich Terns Collard Flycatcher Short toed Snake Eagle Etc etc. When and where will be the first Cuckoo heard? For me Klingnauersee on 22nd April...any bets?

    The Crake Awakes. Several reports of Little Crake seen at Fanel, Gwatt, Magadino and at Bolle Rosso. My favourite site is at Klingnauersee.

    Bird of the day: Pallid Harrier Seen in several places including Grunenbergpass, Les Curzilles and Beatenberg. My favourite place to see them is in Krummi.

    Yesterday have a trip to Klingnauersee with old friends. Great weather. Some 50 species seen or heard including Black and Red Kite, Peregrine( Breeding in the Cooling Tower of the Nuclear Power Station at Laufenburg), Merlin, Savi Warblers, Barn Swallows, etc. Some 15 Greylag Geese were there as...

    Best place for wallcreepers for me is on the viaduct at St.Ursanne. It's possible to walk underneath the viaduct by the campsite/ River. In winter they also are found on the Abbey.

    A local trip to Birsfelder, Augst, Seltisberg and Nuglar with friends. A great day out with some 40 Species seen including Black and Red Kites, White Storks, Fieldfares, Wrens, and so many Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps.     Wow..the discussion continues... Is it a Common Loon, Yellow billed Loon or Hybrid seen at Gwatt ( Thun)? I gave twitched the Yellow Billed Loon at Lake Constance in the past ( dipped)...if it is here, then maybe worth a visit!
