    Fair enough considering the size of the place. I was hoping for some sort of off the path area where I could get some great pictures of any sort of wild bird and red squirrels. I am also hoping to find a place good enough to spot some woodpeckers.

    I'm going to be off to the lakes in July and I was wondering where the best birdwatching spots are that are near Ullswater. Anyone know any good spots for spotting and photography?
