    I want a Speedmaster....but I also want a Monaco... I'm gonna have to pick! I'd wear the Speedmaster more...goes with anything...under any sleeve....but a Monaco is so DIFFERENT...I really like it! Today....wearing a Seamaster!

Hi All. Pocket Bino Experience Needed.

You know....the Curio is one binocular I've never owned! LOL. So in this case, I don't know. By all accounts the Curio should be fine. I went down the 8X rabbit hole so that's where I've stayed.

Hi All. Pocket Bino Experience Needed.

Portability vs. usability is the question. I really like the Leica 8X20s...be it Trinoid or Ultravid. When it comes to the most binocular with the smallest footprint, this is it. They are quite good and quite useful too! I can actually go birding with them, and have. They WILL fit in a...

    binoculars recommendation for travel

GPO Passion ED 8X32. It's a good binocular.

    binoculars recommendation for travel

When I go traveling I usually pack a Leica 8X20 and usually a Monarch HG 8X30. The Leica is small enough to stick in a pocket and never know it's there and the 8X30 is large enough to be an excellent birding binocular and small/light enough to be easy to carry just about anywhere.

Thanks! The watch face is actually a very matte black. I've had this one about two months. Wears like a dream!

    Focus snap

Is it anything more than focus speed/precision and magnification?

Here's one of my favorites I wear out birding! I have a few! I'll post a few here and there! This Tudor Ranger 39mm is one of my favorite watches, PERIOD. Wears like a dream!

best Budget 12x50 binoculars search 😬

GREAT! They really are awesome binoculars! They really smoke on a tripod. It's ok to treat yourself sometimes!

Are two binoculars better than one?

Wow! We are very close! I could certainly work with your list!

Are two binoculars better than one?

Narrowing down choices....that's always be hard for me with motorcycles, watches, and binoculars! It's funny how my preferences change some. But a good binocular today will generally always be a good binocular. On this day, at this time...I would narrow it down to: 1. Swarovski NL 10X42 2...

    Choosing a 7x42 between UVHD+ and EDG

You are welcome! The Meopta B1 7X42 will probably be the hardest one to get your hands on. I bet there weren't many made. The B1s are great binoculars all the way around. EDG....really a very nice binocular. The 7X42 almost has too much ER. The diopter adjustment sure isn't the best. I...

    Choosing a 7x42 between UVHD+ and EDG

So I've had I guess most of not all of the 7X42s. I still have the EDG(gen I), FL, UVHD+, and SLC. ALSO a Zen-Ray 7X36, Retrovid 7X35, and Opticron Discovery 7X42. Had a Meopta B1 7X42...fine binocular. Oh yeah...Have had a Trinovid 7X42 too. Most have a FOV of somewhere around 420ft @...

Which binocular(s) did you use today?

The last four days I've used the UVHD+ 8X32, Kowa Genesis 8X32, and the Opticron Aurora 8X42. All are super birding binoculars. The Kowa doesn't give up too much to the Leica for sure. Saw a black-throated green, blue headed vireo, and a Louisiana waterthrush....all a little early. It was...

best Budget 12x50 binoculars search 😬

I get it. That's exactly why I hang on to my EL 12X50s...great for inclement car birding! Here's what I'd do....SAVE. The EL 12X50 is such a good binocular. Save and be ready when a used one comes up. An Ultravid or a Meostar would be good options too. You won't be sorry.

    New Binocular Bargains Thread

Kowa Genesis 8X33... VERY decent binocular for the money! ER may be a little short for some. I can recommend them!

    Cruise binoculars!

Yeah it's a CL-P 8X25... Too much going on with the cruise! LOL I didn't get sea sick....and I never have. I've been on some pretty rough fishing trips on the Gulf and from Cabo. I've felt a little queasy on a couple but never too bad.

    Cruise binoculars!

For the most part in the Gulf/Caribbean...this cruise Miami--->Cozumel--->Belize City--->Cayman Brac--->Key West---Miami. Primary birds in the open ocean are brown boobies, frigate birds, and masked boobies. I've seen a few smaller species that whiz by...no time to even pick up binoculars.

    Cruise binoculars!

Really...I've had binoculars just sitting on a shelf...might as well move them on. I've always done a lot of cruises. I love waking up somewhere new! I really doubt these binoculars have been past the balcony! So no straps needed..

    Cruise binoculars!

So I've used these some off the balcony. These are 8X30s. Fit and finish is absolutely A-1. The feel in hand of this leather-armored Nomad is excellent. I'm telling you it feels great! It may be the BEST! IDK how long it would last in the field but...these feel great now. Focus adjustment is...

    Cruise binoculars!

So I thought this would interest y'all... Currently, I'm on a cruise out of Miami on Explora I. It's kind of an "upscale" cruise line. "How upscale is it," you say? So these are for the guest(us) of the suite we are in to use!!

    Budget spotting scope?

IMO "budget" and "spotting scope" don't go together very well! LOL A second-hand high quality scope is the way to go. You can find deals on all the major brands...Kowa, Nikon, Swarovski, and even Vortex and Opticron.
  23. chill6x6

    Ball Heads

    You are exactly correct.!
  24. chill6x6

    Ball Heads

I don't like them either. I do use them SOME. Weight and space is the only reason.
  25. chill6x6

    Any advice, and thank you!

I'd get a Nikon Monarch HG 10X42 or a Zeiss Conquest HD 10X42 and call it a day.
