    first sightings of youngsters for me today a female mallard had 9 maybe even 10 very small ducklings in tow the youngsters were having a feeding frenzy and it was hard to keep track of them all,also first sighting of a swallow ,kestrel heard but not seen,3 newts in one of the ponds,i have a pair...

    no sign of the tern this afternoon unfortunatly there was a couple of people looking for it,plenty of little gulls on the island pond more than i expected,3 pars of great crested grebes present,up at keptie pond the herons have 3 chicks i sat for ages hoping to get a vid of them being fed but...
