Swaro EL 10x50 users in 2021.

How many of you are happy owners/frequent users of the much revered 10x50 EL? How does it compare to the NL models as an 'overall package' for long-distance viewing in low-light situations? Do you find it too heavy/bulky? I'm pretty keen on one. They supposedly handle glare a bit better than...

    Leica rubber armor

Can somebody please tell me the difference (if there is any, that is) between the rubber armoring on the Ultravid HD+ and the Noctivid? Is one of them 'stickier' than the other, and more prone to collecting lint/dust? First world problems...:) Cheers.

    Binocular restoration

Is there anybody out there who can fabricate new lenses for old, obsolete porros? Or - is there any way of bribing someone at one of the big binocular companies to do it? Perhaps a couple boxes of chocolate and a good bottle of whiskey... I feel like I'm dreaming. Someone pinch me. Cheers.

    NL Pure 'problems'.

My 10x42 NL is already experiencing its' fair share of issues. Swaro will likely sort it out for me, but I'm writing this as a heads-up to others. The focusser started to develop some slight (almost imperceptible) stickiness a few days ago, and yesterday, after rinsing the binos under a cold...

    Image 'pop'

I received my first pair of 'real' binoculars at the age of 8. I'm 24 now - so it feels like a lifetime ago. They had belonged to my late Grandfather. A pair of well-worn 6x30B Swedish military issue porros, made by Zeiss Obercochen. He'd acquired them during his career in the Swedish...

    Leica Geovid vs Swarovski

Hi guys, Bit of an apple vs orange question... I'm a deer stalker and I'm swinging between a pair of Leica Geovid HD-B 10x42's, or a Swaro NL and a seperate hand-held rangefinder. Would the Swaro NL be superior enough (optically) to warrant not choosing the more practical Geovid, and opting...

    Seeking expert

I've got an old pair of Binoculars my Grandfather left me before he passed away. He was an officer in the Swedish military and had them on hand for field work. They're about 30-40? years old now. The eye-cups are still butter smooth to twist - much smoother than any new Victory model I've...

    Rubber armouring...

Hi everyone, I've got a pair of Zeiss 8x42 Victory FL's, and the green rubber armouring has turned a brownish tinge due to excessive glassing in the sun. I'd like to get the rubber replaced and am thinking about sending them back to Zeiss. I'm just wondering what the chances are of perhaps...

    Rattling !

Hi everyone, new to the forum. :-) I'm a college student who saved up his hard earned dough for a pair of Zeiss Victory T* Fl's (10x32). I bought them online and they arrived in the mail this morning ! Woop. My first impression of the bins was that the glass was AMAZING. The fit and and feel...
