    Ring-necked Parakeets excavating nest hole

    Yesterday I found a pair of Ring-necked (rose-ringed) Parakeets excavating a nest hole in a dead Horse Chestnut tree in Surrey, can't find any reference to this in BWP concise, anyone else come across this? Nick

    14 year old Ring-billed Gull

    The regular adult Ring-billed Gull returned to the Isle of Dogs, London last week for it's 12th winter, the bird was an adult when it was first found on November 23rd 1996, making it at least 15 years old, anyone know of a longer-lived individual? Nick
