    Terns in Mexico, today

Interesting, thank you. I was not confortable at all for the younger bird to be a Common that I had identified as a Forster's. For the other one, the real reason of my post, I find it difficult. Cheers !

    "grey" Snowy Egret, Campeche, Mexico

Hi all, It is possible, from this single shot, to say if this Snowy Egret is just dirty or if the feathers above are really grey for some reasons ? I guess bare parts colours exclude hybridation but a second thought is welcome. Photo from today in a mixed egret colony in Ciudad del Carmen...

ID Help Please - Houston, TX. Many Thanks!

Well, I guess it is between Orange-crowned and Tennesse Warblers ? White undertail coverts are better for Tennessee as far as I remember.

    Wood sandpiper or Greenshank or.....?

Wood Sandpiper is slightly smaller than Redshank, and the bill is shorter. Greenshank is bigger than Redshank, with longer bill. They are very different actually, have a look here : Common Greenshank and Wood Sandpiper by Margaret Sloan Cheers !

Thank you guys, I thought left bird had a Forter's look with long legs, thick bill, but I know Forster's only in breeding plumage. Good details to learn here !
