    Swarovski Habicht 7x42 GA

Oh I misunderstood, I thought you were the author ☺ I believe you're correct about spokes, I've built spoked wheels for motorcycles, what you say makes sense. What Bill says makes sense too, but how does it help? What action can anyone take? Are the only options: 1. Conditional...

    Swarovski Habicht 7x42 GA

Do you run around bicycle forums insulting people and telling them they're wrong, then offering people no useful advice other than to buy your books?

    Swarovski Habicht 7x42 GA

Bill, I stand by everything I said here and see no need to repeat myself. I'm sure you're a good man and I do respect your expertise. I'm well aware of the difference between conditional alignment and 3 axis alignment. As I said in my reply to you in post #56, it doesn't help anyone to tell...

    Swarovski Habicht 7x42 GA

You seem very immature and emotional for an old fella. Your expertise is not in question, your attitude is. I'm not going to be bullied by you because you're an expert on binoculars. Especially when 90% of your posts here and elsewhere are basically a sales pitch for your books. If I'm...

Bill, that's a lot of talking but no answering my question. Thanks for the lack of help. I guess we'll all just have to buy your book huh?

    Swarovski Habicht 7x42 GA

I've read this before, that all the collimation tips are "wrong" . But it's a useless statement if you're not going to share with us what is actually "correct". Just running around the internet saying "everyone is wrong", but without explaining how, doesn't help us at all.

CL Curio 7x21: protection for apparent metal

I buy sheets Screen Protection for Cell Phones, iPads, Tablets, and Smart Watches this stuff for a big laptop, and cut it to size to protect all my expensive gadgets and eliminate the feel of cold metal. Flashlight, knives, watches, binos etc. If you're careful enough it's undetectable, until...

    Best IS binocular?

10x42 focuser is good for me, it's easier to get precise focus than other binoculars. Move your finger faster!

    The Remarkable Svbony SV202 10 x 42 ED Binocular

That ship sailed when you pushed it out to sea! 😂 Entering into a debate with you would give your position a legitimacy which it does not deserve. I hope you keep reading and keep learning. 🍻

    Swarovski habicht 7x42

I agree with Aquaplas, I love my Habicht 7x42 and in dark conditions, it's the best I've ever looked through. The focus wheel is stiff, but doesn't require much turning, and it's got a fairly quick ratio, not too slow. Going from 5m to 20m for instance, requires very little travel of the focuser.

    Magnification of handheld binoculars

I do look down on the people who think that they can hand hold a 16x steadily. Does that help? 😂

How is the Leica body better than the swarovski?

    Magnification of handheld binoculars

Of course it depends where I'm "birding". In the back yard, 6x is enough. In a meadow, 15x is more useful.

    Magnification of handheld binoculars

I started with 10,went to 12, then 15, ignorantly thinking I was going to see more. I love my image stabilised binoculars, but even the very smallest, Nikon 10x25 STB10X25BL, is a bit much for edc. 10x is great for peaceful views on a tripod or parallelogram. But purely handheld, my search...
