    Which Drongo? Iran, Hormozgan

    A correction re ageing Pedrambirder, while white-scalloping to the vent is an ageing feature in other Drongo species e.g Black, Crow-billed and Greater Racket-tailed, I am reliably informed that this feature does not hold for Ashy so, your birds cannot be safely aged. Grahame

    Both are 2cy Ashy Drongos ssp. longicaudatus, aged by the white scalloping to the vent, readily told from Black by combination of grey underparts, the absence of white rictal spot, longer, less splayed tail and bright red eyes. Grahame
