    Help The Birds this winter

    Filled up the feeders as well as Frosty my Snowman feeder, decided to keep him up longer then normal. Also gave the birds a helping hand scattering seeds on the ground and on the table and a Robin was first on the scene.

    Great day today in The Outer Hebrides

    What a great day today. At Kallin Harbour I saw a Otter, followed by Redshanks & Herring Gulls. Then on Grimsay saw 2 Golden Eagles then up in North Uist saw a Buzzard snd lastly some Sand Martins on Hosta Bay.

    Birding In The Outer Hebrides

    Had a good day yesterday saw Seals on Berneray followed by dozens of Graylag Geese & Golden Eagle. In North Uist saw Oystercatcher & Curlew & on Lochmaddy a Heron. This morning walk saw Sanderlings on Cilla Bay and on the field at the front of the house there are Rock Doves and some Lapwings.

    Lovely Welcome From Hebridean Birds

    It's nice to be back in Benbecula in The Outer Hebrides. I'm here for 2 weeks so I'm looking forward seeing what's around. On the Uig-Lochmaddy ferry I saw Gannets & Storm Petrel and when I arrived at the guest house I was greeted by thousands of Starlings.

    Hoopoe Spotted in the Dunbar area

    I was told from a friend of mine that a Hoopoe has been spotted in the Dunbar area in Midlothian. Unfortunately I'm away up to Skye today so unable to see it but if anyone's near that area this may be a interest to you.
