Thanks.... I wanted the huge one for super long distance... Mainly for riflescopes... This was all just tentative fantasizing... Yes, I suppose I could be more realistic with what I planned to get... I guess, if I wanted real results; I'd need a more 'regulation' size, and follow the formula...

Good Dutch folk... Well since I started this thread, my 883 has arrived... And although I am too much of an amateur to take pictures, I believe it star tested absolutely perfect...and I mean perrrrfect. The lines couldn't be any more concentric than they were...it was so amazing, that I thought...

Bushnell SpaceMaster II / Vixen GLH20D *pics*

I love this combination... This eye piece REALLY transformed this scope! Look at that BIG PHAT OCULAR!!! Color Fidelity is awesome, it has great resolution...and is super bright during daylight hours... MINIMAL CA..some flaring while looking at the moon. I don't think this is a true 20x in this...

    Slik

I picked up a Slik Pro II LE recently, and it's wonderful. Made in Japan. It's topped with a Manfrotto 120-38 spacer, Manfrotto 410 head/Hejnar mount/clamp/plate...and soon to be Kowa tsn88. In unrelated news, I picked up a Slik 635as ball head, and it's much better than the 535...mucho...

    Trinovid 10x42 new/Portugal

Well maybe not overall image quality, but I feel like this Steiner's would be "safer", as they are not pushing the envelope in the same way that the Leica glass is... Heck, I have a fujinon kf10x32 that has almost zero CA. But obviously the overall picture is not there... I think that I would...

Well... This thread has stemmed from the number of threads on this website that have been speaking about the 883, and of how many copies they had to go through before finding a "good" one.....

Is Kowa really producing that many lemons, or that many; not cherries? I'm getting nervous.

    Vintage SpaceMaster II

Does anyone know the difference between the vintage Spacemaster II Black label & Red label? A different manufacturer? Different specs? I'm speaking of the genre when the tag was fastened on with two small screws, as opposed to being 'frenched' into the body. Thanks.

    Trinovid 10x42 new/Portugal

I think I have read and numerous places that the ultravid are the same glass as the Trinovid.. and that's a difference is only mechanical. Obviously I don't know whether that's accurate or not. I have also read that the noctovid is an actual step up in optical virtues... But not a large one. I...
