    My understanding, based on this: Iberian Chiffchaff identification: the state of the art — subalpinebirding. is that this means it's a common chiffchaff after all. If I interpret the photo's wing formula correctly the steps between primaries 3-4 and 4-5 are unequal with the former shorter.

    Well without much confidence I can try. I think it's quite a good candidate for Iberian. The stand out features are the clean quite bright white belly and some evidence of a golden breast belt (evident at the breast sides). The bill is pale based (not all dark) and legs brownish not black. The...
