    #1 - The flock of white birds on the left, could they be great white pelicans? Sorry for the bad quality we were quite high up as it wasn't a scenic flight. I think there are several Marabou storks scattered around for size comparison. #2 - Is this an African rail, Allen's gallinule or Black crake?

    NZ Gull and young cormorant which one?

    The gull looks like a black-backed gull to me, and the cormorant looks like a female spotted shag. Cormorants are known as 'shags' in New Zealand.
