    Birding spots in and around Dortmund

    My advice in that other thread still holds. Further to my recommendations there, Halde Ellinghausen (north of the city) is a good spot for seeing migrating birds, although 7000 cranes already passed last Thursday. At least it is a site that regularly attracts birders. A site that I don't know...
