If you ever try one, you should get a set of eyecups from the green rubber-armoured Habichts. They work a lot better than the eyecups supplied in many ways. In fact, I find the eyecups supplied with the leather-armoured Habichts unusable. Much too narrow.

Absolutely correct. I've been using my Habicht 7x42 and my 10x40 quite a lot over the past few weeks, and they're optically excellent (unless you "need" edge to edge sharpness, even though the 7x42 is pretty good in that respect). Sharpness, contrast and brightness of the image are exceptional...
