    Hi Deb, There is a stronger tendency for Yellow-legged Gulls of various Atlantic populations, by no means just those on island groups, to lack a white mirror on P9 as adults. Of course, some 'Mediterranean michahellis' can lack them also, but it is rarer for them to do so. Use of the name...
